Hinge 002

An iron hinge, blacksmith made, hand forged. An iron bar in the centre is shaped into a round disk with a hole for a nail. The disk extends into elongated handlebar moustache shapes crowned with stylised bird heads. The other end of the iron bar is coiled into a 2 cm diameter ring (sleeve) decorated by two parallel grooves, used for hanging a door. The hinge was handed over to the Museum’s collection by a parson from the Golcowa parish.
