Lady’s apron, white, plain weave fabric, embroidered, trapezium shaped, with straps to tie over a skirt. Apron – element of a lady's formal dress. Sewwn and embroidered by Karolina Futoma from Pantalowice (1892-1969). Apart from the lace trim the apron is decorated with an inset of crocheted lace in the bottom part of the apron. There are floral motif patterns above and below the inset, turquoise, burgundy and yellow thread satin stitch embroidery.
“Folding fan” shape pattern of the repeat motif on crocheted lace used as trim along apron edges. Lace made out of white thread on a crochet hook. A single folding fan shape comprises six parallel lace rows: loops oriented convex side down, two patterns made using the column technique, double loops made using folding fan type crochet stitch, the base of the folding fan, above: mesh on a footprint of three triangles, two rhombuses with an opening in the middle and once again mesh on a footprint of three triangles. The lase is made up of a total; of 70 folding fans. Pattern dimensions (3 folding fans): 12 cm x 5.5 cm.
