Apron 009
Apron 009
Women's apron made of white cloth, tied with drawstrings. The apron is decorated with two triple stripes of tabs, called pintucks, between which a strip of embroidery is located, composed of seven bouquets of poppies and pyrethrums, arranged symmetrically to each other: bouquet stems adjacent to the lower strip of the tucks, bouquet stems adjacent to the upper strip of the tucks, etc. The edges of the apron are trimmed with white, cotton, crochet lace.
The countoured motif is a bouquet of poppies and pyrethrums. In the center of the bouquet there are two flower cups of poppies, with marked stamens and the surface of the petals covered with a stitch called a seed stitch. Next to the poppies, there are four flower goblets of the pyrethrum, known as the field daisy.
