Fitting 005

Metal fitting for attaching a cart front axle assembly to a drawbar. The topmost part is hammered into two arches with a triangular spike between them. The outer surface features stamped decoration - an ornamental strip comprising punched tear-shaped ellipses with a drop in their centres. There is a similar yet slightly smaller ornament on the arches. A number of arches with dots at their ends have been punched below the triangular spike.
