Lady’s corset. krakowski with flaps, embroidered using beads and thread. Worn during the summer months, as part of formal dress, during religious (processions, acolyte assistance) or family (wedding) ceremonies in the Przeworsk region. Made out of thin olive velvet, cotton fabric lining. On the front covered in a dense floral bead embroidered pattern and on the back, along the Waistline, the shoulder blades and under the neck – extensive floral flagella.
The pattern is based on a symmetric floral flagellum on the back of the corset, along the waistline, above the flaps. Bead decorations: central flower – pansy made out of transparent lily beads, with a yellow and red centre and two branches with wild strawberries (?). Flagella stems are embroidered using thread, and chain stitch. Stems extend from a flower on both sides – three flowers of blue forget-me-nots and a colourful bead five-petal flower with three uncovered stamina (little flowers?). Pattern area dimensions: 7 cm x 22 cm
