Corset 002

Corset 002

A maiden, wedding corset, made of white satin, covered with an embroidered dense floral pattern on the front and back, along the edge at the shoulders. Shades of pink dominate among the flower colors. The corset is of the Cracow type, with 28 trays trimmed at the edges with golden sequins, fastened with five wire hooks and eyes. The edges of the corset around the neck and shoulders trimmed with triangular serrations. The corset could have been an element of the wedding garment of the bride or bridesmaid.

The motif of a symmetrical plant flagella is arranged horizontally. In the center, on the axis of symmetry lies a pink peony flower with petals embroidered with silk thread and beads. In relation to peonies, there are two plant flagella, each composed of a twig of blue bells, a primula flower cup, a plant twig, called large hearts (Lamprocapnos spectabilis) and from the cup of a flower with cut petals, a thistle or a cornflower (Centaurea bella), creating a rich striped pattern.
