Pot 004

Pot 004

A clay pot, shaped on a potter’s wheel, fired in an oxidizing environment, with an egg-shaped body, an out-turned lip and a clearly defined base. The pot is glazed both inside and outside. It features two handles symmetrically aligned on two sides of the lip.
Below the lip, there are thin decorative grooves running around the entire circumference parallel to the lip edge.
A decorative pattern runs along the widest part of the body, around the entire circumference and parallel to the lip. Its main section comprises a wavy line made out of green coating. Below there are vertical light lines of similar length arranged analogously to the wavy line. A geometric motif is repeated in curves of the line – four parallel green curves with three light spots above aligned along the same line running parallel to the lip edge.
