Pot 002
Pot 002
Ferric clay pot, turned on a wheel, decorated with the polishing/rubbing technique, fired in a reducing atmosphere.
The vessel resembles the so-called urn (shape characteristic of the Medina centre), however, it has one ear. The shape of the vessel is stocky, characterized by an outward-turned spout and an egg-shaped belly gently narrowing towards a minimally separated bottom. A wide, taped ear, on one side attached to the spout, on the other, at the height of 2/3 of the belly.
Spout, upper belly and ear polished smooth. The rest of the belly was covered with an ornament consisting of four rhythmically repeating vertical stripes and a diagonal grid between them.
