Apron 005

Apron 005

The apron made of white cotton cloth, decorated with flat embroidery made with blue and red cotton threads with: knitted stitch, a string, oblique and straight satin. The pattern runs along the entire width of the apron and consists of stylized oak leaves, carnation flowers and flowers with five petals, as well as twigs and tendrils. The leaves are divided in half. One half is embroidered with a satin stitch (red thread), and the other half with a string (blue thread), and its center is filled with three blue dots (satin). Red and blue threads are used alternately: if the center of the carnation is red, the petals are blue and the other way round. If the twig is made with blue thread, then the tendrils are red, and the other way round. The bottom of the apron is cut with serrations, finished in such a way that one serration is edged with red thread and the other with blue thread.
