Shirt 001
Shirt 001
The shirt with a frame (sewn from pieces of fabric of square or rectangular shape) and crinkle cut. Decorated with red embroidery on the collar, cuffs, trim and frames, emphasizing the cut or strengthening the seams. Geometric and plant motifs are repeated rhythmically. On the cuffs, the pattern consists of trefoils closed in straight lines on a string, a cross stitch and a broken chain line. The track patterns on the frames are made of various combinations of straight lines, wavy lines and chain zigzags. One of the most recognizable ones is a pattern made of a wavy chain coiled in a spiral. The embroidery also includes a comb line, a stripe, and a crossed stitch finished with a trefoil motif. The collar is decorated with a straight line of cross stitch. A flower motif on a stem with dense leaves and twigs is repeated rhythmically on the trim. The ornamentation is typical for the northern part of the Lasowiacy region.
