Pitcher 002
Pitcher 002
S-shaped vessel with a high and straight collar, passing into a narrowing, short neck, ovoid belly, and flat bottom with a distinct foot. A spout marked on the edge of the collar, a ribbon-shaped ear attached to the base of the collar and belly. Collar decorated with stylized green twigs, belly decorated with plant and zoomorphic ornaments: stylized white twigs arranged in the form of a palmette and concentrically, painted, composed of dots, white-green or green flowers. The zoomorphic element is a contour representation of a hen with a fan-shaped tail in the form of a palmette. The whole vessel is glazed with a transparent coating. The pattern is a compilation of an archaic palmette pattern, painted in lines, with a later zoomorphic representation common to the interwar period.
